| Energy is the basis of the national economy. As China’s energy structure, coal-based pattern is difficult to change in a long time, therefore, to improve combustion characteristics of coal to improve coal combustion efficiency has very real economic and social significance. Coal-burning additive promote not only good, and improve efficiency in the use of coal, but also reduce sulfur dioxide and other harmful gases and soot emissions, achieving sustainable energy development strategy to address air pollution is of great significance. This experiment by differential thermal analysis, study of an alkali metal, alkaline earth metals, transition metal, boric acid, lanthanum oxide-based additives on the ignition of coal and graphite. We find that alkali metal, alkaline earth metals, transition metal, rare earth metals play a reduced role on the ignition of coal and graphite, but the catalytic effect is different. In the same anion, the alkali metal ions on the coal catalyst follow by K+> Na+> Li+; alkaline earth metal ions on the coal catalyst follow by Ba2+Ca2+> Mg2+; in the same cation, the anion of the coal catalyst follow by OH-> Ac-> CO32->HCO3-> NO3-> CI-> SO42-; Transition metal catalytic effect on coal is of significant differences with different elements, lanthanum oxide catalyst is not particularly good; H3BO3lets the graphite higher ignition point. As the graphite contains less impurities, the catalytic effect of additives on graphite is more obvious than that on coal. The results of experimental study of the pH value of the additives on the ignition of coal, show that the additive pH value effects the impact of coal ignition. Different additives with different pH values, the decrease of coal ignition is different.Experiment by changing the Addition Methods, including coal and additive direct mixing, mixed with water, mixed with alcohol, and surfactant mixed method, the ignition point were measured by differential thermal analysis, we find coal and additives mixed with water has the better catalytic effect than coal and additives mixed directly additives with different surfactants has the different results. |
