In the face of the huge gap of the ethyl-benzenne/styrene demand, the strong growth trend, and the status of high dependence to external in pertroleum chemical industries, it is important to enhance our ethy1-benzenne/styrene production capacity. In addition, the more serious safety aituation and all kinds of accidents frequently have been important issues to constraint to the healthy development of petroleum and chemical industry in our country, which has the flammable and explosive. Therefore, based on the green environment protection ideas and safety production concepts, it is worth studying the safty and environmental impactation of the ethyl-benzenne/styrene project.In this paper, we stydy the safty and the enbironmental impactation of the ethy1-benzenne/styrene project based on the Yan’an refinery120000tons/years ethy1-benzenne/styrene project. On the one hand, we study the safty problems of the ethy1-benzenne/styrene project by the project risk mangement, distinguish the safety risk factors of the project, and establish the index system by the factors and then evaluation the safety risk factors by the fuzzy evaluation method, at last present the advice and measures in order to provide theoretical basis for the safety production of petrochemical project. On the other hand, we study the environmental impacts of the ethy1-benzenne/styrene project, present the environmental-quality standards and the pollutant discharge standards, and determine the scope to analysis by the environment risk mangement, and then study the influense on water, atmospheric, sound, etc, according to the monitoring data during construction and operation period of the Yan’an refinery120000tons/years ethyl-benzenne/styrene project, in order to verify the feasibility of the project.
