| Virtual Gear Measuring Center (VGMC) base on real gear measuring center and use computer software as a tool, there is no instruments entity, but measuring functions. VGMC has a greater advantage in some respects than the real gear measuring center, such as measuring software development, offline programming, error analysis, the uncertainty as well as personnel training and product demonstrations, its application has important practical value.Scanning detection technology of VGMC to achieve the virtual measurement capabilities that virtual probe continuous scanning detection virtual workpiece surface. It will directly affect error collection system function integrity. The constitute of VGMC is to be discussed and analyzed, which the main object is the collision scan detection module, workpiece load data interface and a shared module. The different requirements of the visualization systems and collision scan detector module of the measured data, using virtual display data and collision detection data of the workpiece to achieve visual display and detection calculation. A scanning detection algorithm is proposed to meet the requirements of collision scan detection module for measurement calculations. For virtual gear tooth profile measurements, the workpiece modeling and measurement simulation is complied. Analysis main factors that cause tooth profile error from different aspects by Gear tooth profile error curve, and to verify the correct scanning detection algorithm.Scanning detection technology is applied in VGMC, and the measuring soft can be run. Then by measuring software control, this system complete correction gear center detection, involute master detection and gear detection. At the same time, virtual gear measuring center correctly display the measurement process in the visualization window, to verify the application of the virtual gear measuring center architecture and the function of each module.
