Coal is one of the major energy of human beings, more than90%of which are transported by sea. With the development of the world economy, more and more trade between the countries depends on marine transportation. The increase of marine transportation not only brings economic development, but also a lot of maritime accidents, and among which the fire accidents are in the largest proportion. The reason is that the coal spontaneous combustion reaction which is the main cause of the fire. In this dissertation, I place emphasis on the research of the process of the coal spontaneous combustion in the marine transportation and the factors which influenced by the coal grade, moisture content, oxygen, internal surface area, crevice, temperature, barometric pressure, ventilation, impurities and others in the coal spontaneous combustion. The author put forward a method by using the natural ventilation to exclude the heat of the cabin, and the way of calculating of the minimum ventilation time and on the same time are easy to prevent the coal from coal-fired ease the release of methane coal cargo ventilation, further from the thermal reaction required ventilation rate. By analyzing the use of the anti-coal spontaneous combustion inhibitor, we come up with the inhibitor which is suitable for the coal marine transportation and is expected to be able to apply this technology to the marine transportation. This will avoid the cause of coal spontaneous combustion that due to the improper amount of the artificially ventilated time and ventilation in transit, and greatly reduce the risk of coal marine transportation of coal. And finally I draw a conclusion that the fire-fighting measures that can be used in the coal spontaneous combustion on board and provide a theoretical basis in order to further improve the security of the bulk coal transport ship, to ensure the safety of the cargo.
