Bamboo fiber is a new type of fiber in which ultra-fine or nanometer bamboocharcoal powder is put into spinning fluid in the spinning process. The fabric madefrom bamboo chatcoal fiber have strong adsorption, deodorant, moisture absorptionand removing sweat, antibacterial and mouldproof, heat storage and heat preservationfunction and so on.Bamboo charcoal fiber is put as the research object in this paper, deeply researchon bamboo charcoal fiber structure and physical and chemical properties, focus on thefiber properties, yarn properties, production process of adhesive and charcoalfinishing agent, fabric finishing process, removing peculiar smell ability of fabric,fabric wearability, and make use of the fuzzy mathematic comprehensive evaluationto analyze finished fabric,exploit the bamboo charcoal fiber textiles with removingpeculiar smell performance.The yarn selected is blended yarn of bamboo charcoal polyester fiber and cottonfiber.Fineness of the blended yarn is18.2tex, and its component is50%of bamboocharcoal polyester fibers and50%combed cotton. Based on the researches andanalysis on the performance of bamboo charcoal fiber and blended yarn, it is knownthat the single fiber strength of bamboo charcoal fiber is better and its elongation atbreak is larger. The evenness of blended yarn is better, the yarn quality is good, it hasvery few thin places, less thick places and neps; The breaking strength of blendedyarn is medium, its breaking elongation is small but its rupture work is larger.Bamboo charcoal fiber blended yarn has less hairiness, and has lower twistirregularity, which is favorable for fabric manufacture. The blended yarn of bamboocharcoal fiber has lower moisture regain, and its acid-proof and alkali resistance aregood, which are help for fabric finishing.By use of this blended yarn of bamboo charcoal fiber and cotton, five kinds ofknitted fabrics were developed by computer knitting machine. The knittingtechnology and knitting key points were expounded. The basic properties of fabricwere tested, and the test results show that the blended yarn is suitable for developing knitting fabric.The production process of adhesive and charcoal finishing agent was researchedby using a single factor analysis and orthogonal test method. With the charcoal-loading amount of fabric as measure index, it is obtained that the optimal scheme ofthe production process of adhesive and charcoal finishing agent is A1B1C2D2, i.e. thecontent of polyvinyl acetate emulsion is12%, the content of polyviny alkohol is0.8%,the content of activated coconut shell carbon is20%, the ratio of sodium lauryl sulfateand activated coconut shell carbon is0.15. The temperature of dipping fabric is40℃,the time of dipping fabric is30min and the bath ratio is1:25. Variety of fabrics withdifferent weave were finished by using a dip and a rolling method, and then thefinished fabrics were washed for20times and taken pictures to observe in thescanning electron microscope. It was confirmed that the washed finishing fabric stillhave abundant activated coconut shell charcoal, and the fabric have the function ofremoving peculiar smell.This paper introduces the basic theory of adsorption of activated carbon. Theability of fabric removing peculiar smell was speculated through testing theadsorption ability of fabric for methanal. The tightness of homemade sealedexperiment box was tested, and the result of experiment shows that the tightness isvery good. The maximum absorption wavelength of methanal fast detection reagentswas determined as360nm, and the methanal absorption standard curve was found.Compared to the original fabric, the absorption rate of finished fabric has significantimprovement, and the absorption rate of finished fabric increases with the charcoal-loading amount of fabric. The adsorption ability of fabric with rib air layer weave isstrongest, and its maximum adsorption rate reaches42%. When the charcoal-loadingamount of fabric is less than25%, it is obvious that the adsorption rate of fabricincreases with the charcoal-loading amount of fabric; when the charcoal-loadingamount of fabric is more than30%, it is gentle that the adsorption rate of fabricincreases with the charcoal-loading amount of fabric.In order to examine if the original properties of fabric treated by the finishingagent of adhesive and carbon were changed, the wearabilities of five kinds of fabricswith diffierent weave structures which contain treated fabric and original fabric weretested. The test items include hot-wet comfort, bursting strength, drapability, wrinklerecovery, shrinkage. The experimental results show that, compared to the originalfabric, the properties of fabric treated by the finishing agent of adhesive and carbon had less change except air permeability of fabric, and these variation will not affectthe wearability of fabric. So,the bamboo charcoal fiber kintting fabric treated by thefinishing agent of adhesive and carbon have kept the style and properties of originalfabric basically.
