To monitor the states of a CNC system for a CNC machine tool has very importantpractical applications and it is of great significance to achieve integration managementbased on network and remote fault diagnosis. The functions of the networkmonitoring platform have device management, real-time monitoring and dataapplications. All of the work is based on the in-depth study of the monitoring platformfunctional requirements around the practical application of numerical control systemin-line monitoring needs. The development tasks which include data communicationservices, core monitoring and application access and so on are presented in this thesis.The communication library based on TCP transport protocol is developed used bynetwork programming API. These development works are based on in-depth analysisof data communications services and functional requirements of the key technologiesfor the network monitoring platform. Communication services which providecommunication service interface API for upper application software with variableservice, service parameters, command services, file services and PLC data servicesand so on are designed and implemented based on network data transmission functionof communication library. The core monitor functions such as device management,real-time monitoring and data applications are achieved based on the data analysis bycollecting the state data of CNC system which are provided though communicationsservices API interface around application requirements of the core monitoringnetwork monitoring platform. The state data of CNC system include tracking error,the feed rate and spindle speed and so on. The monitoring application access softwareis developed using VC environment which has functions for concurrent monitoring ofmultiple DNC, graphical simulation display and operation monitoring.The network platform has been built with a star topology according to the requiredmonitoring platform network environment which could verify the network monitoringplatform effectiveness through the system debug and meet the verificationrequirements of CNC system monitoring. It is proved that the network monitorplatform has good reliability, high efficiency.
