Ecological environment is the basis and conditions for survival anddevelopment of human. The good ecological environment can provideexistence of natural environmental condition and life and production ofmaterials, and survival and development of human society cannot do withoutgood ecological environment. Coal resources are vital of material basis forhuman survival and development. There are rich of coal resources and they aremain energy in our country. It caused various ecological and environmentalproblems destroyed severe ecology system of coal area, besides promotingChina’s national economic development and social progress. It is important forus to carry out eco-environmental impact assessment, planning protection ofecological environment for coal mining, in order to achieve the coal mining,utilization and protection of harmony along of improving the cognition of theecological and environmental problems caused by coal mining. It wasparticularly important and urgent.In this paper, on the basis of summarizing concepts, methods andprocedures of ecological environmental impact assessment, the construction ofecological environment evaluation system index for Underground coal miningwere explored and researched, by following the principles, ideas and methodsof evaluation index system built, combining with the analysis of theconstraints of the coal mining impact on ecological environment and theregional ecological environment and learning from previous research results.Containing a total of13indicators in three levels for index system were builtafter filtering the index by the analytic hierarchy process, and calculated theweight of index. Impact assessment was carried out for Sun Tuan coalecological environmental by gathering information, on-site investigation,using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluationmethod and the application of the index system, in the case of Suntuan coalmine in Huaibei Mining Co., Ltd. The result showed that the index system canmore accurately reflect the degree of impact on ecological environment of Underground coal mining.Theoretical and applied research of ecological environment impactassessment index system of Underground coal mining was carried out in thispaper. The methods used and the conclusions provided a reference for theevaluation of Underground coal mining impact on ecological environment.The research results of the paper can provide decision-making basis ofecological environment governance, mine development planning andmanagement of Huaibei mining area including Suntuan coal mine.
