The phylogeny, compositions, classification and synthetize of glass-ceramics were discussed in this thesis. The research progress of BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramics were focused in this thesis.The BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramics with TiO2as nucleation agent, ZrO2as nucleation agent, TiO2and ZrO2as complex nucleation agents were prepared by melting and crystallization, and the optimum composition was determined. According to the result of the DSC, the heat treatment schedules was founded, the crystallization and optical properties of BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramics were studied by XRD, SEM, UV-Vis-NIR. The BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramics were more better when TiO2and ZrO2as complex nucleation agents.Nd3+doped BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramics with TiO2and ZrO2as complex nucleation agents were prepared. The optimum heat treatment schedules is insulation40min at790℃, its main crystal phase is BaAl2Si2O8(77-0185). the grains were distributed evenly in the system, the average grains size estimated by the measuring scale is about150nm, its highest optical transmittance can reach81.3%. The optical properties of Nd3+ion in the BaO-Al2O3-SiO2system glass-ceramic was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. The results show that the fluorescent characteristics of Nd3+ion in glass-ceramic is stronger than in base glass. If the heat treatment conditions and Nd3+concentrations is different, the intensity of diffraction peak in fluorescence spectrum is also different.
