The mineral content of Jiyuan oilfield is high, not only the injected water and formation water is incompatible, but also the formation waters of different layers. With the forward development of oilfield, general water content rises, causing serious scaling phenomenon in gathering system, and the equipments processing capacity declining, increasing energy consumption, bring damages to regular production of oil field.This paper firstly invests the current scaling situation of Jiyuan Oilfield, have a comprehensive understanding of the fouling status and material properties, according to the relevant provisions of national standards or regulations analysis the water quality, type, and determine the water features of formation water or injected water and its ion composition. On the base of the chemical characteristics of water quality, studies Jiyuan Oilfield scaling mechanism, the compatibility of two different waters, giving the potential amount of the maximum scale under mixed-water system, revealing the changing rules of scaling amount in oilfield development. Through the compatibility tests and static scaling rate experiments, select the most appropriate scale inhibitor and the best concentration for each block of Jiyuan Oilfield, and make a special inhibition sale program suitable for field practice in Jiyuan Oilfield. At last, present the concept of green scale inhibitor to Jiyuan Oilfield, select scale inhibitor that is green, economically and convenient through the compound experiment of PESA and other inhibitors.
