With the development of city, city traffic roads become an important source of airpollution. Urban road atmospheric suspended particulates was the most important part of airpollution, and PM10has become the primary pollutant in most city, and PM2.5take more andmore attention in nowdays. The seasonal and daily distribution characteristics of atmospheric suspended particulates inthe control point which is far from the road traffic and by urban roadside was investigated withDustMate environmental dust detector in Maanshan city, and the relationship of theconcentration of atmospheric suspended particulates on urban road and road sweeping andenvironmental factors:temperature, humidity, wind speed and the traffic flow was investigated inthis research.Road sweeping exists in every corner of the city road, and the concentration ofatmospheric suspended particulates above urban road was also affected by road sweeping.Theconcentration of atmospheric suspended particulates before and after road sweeping on tenroads in Mananshan City:Hudong Road,Hubei Road,Hunan Road,Jiankan Road,YutianRoad,Huyu Road,Yinshan Road,Huolishan Road,Jiangdong Road, and Maxiang Road in2010December~2012March was measured and analyzed.. Then it is analyzed the influence ofroad sweeping on the atmosphere suspended particles. The data was also used to test whether theOSPM model.is effecive in the case of city cannyon road with sweeping.:The followingconclusions are obtained:1. The daily distribution characterics of atmospheric suspended particulates was higher atdawn and dusk, and lower at noon.2.The results showed that significantly negative correlation(5%significance level) weredisplayed among the concerntrations of PM10or TSP and wind speed or temperature, but therewere not clear correlations between the concentrations of TSP and humidity(5%significancelevel),and there were not clear correlations between the concentrations of TSP or PM10or PM2.5or PM1and the traffic flow or the corresponding concentratons in the control point(5%significance level). Moreover, the concentrations of TSP and PM10and of PM2.5and PM10showed significantly positively correlations, and the equation of linear regression wasy=1.369x+155.9and y=0.370x-18.95,respectively.The rario of PM2.5/PM10was about32%which was different from the others’ research, these might be associated with the differentdistribution characteric of atmospheric suspended particulates. 3.Road sweeping might be one reason of the particulate concentration peak during the day.The difference of the concentration of atmospheric suspended particulates before and after roadsweeping was::TSP:12.81μg/m3~154.39μg/m3,PM10:6.76μg/m3~70.02μg/m3,PM2.5:0.54μg/m3~6.08μg/m3.The concentration of atmospheric suspended particulates wasvery high, the ratio of the concentration of atmospheric suspended particulates when roadsweeping and it before and after road sweeping was: TSP(4.0~10.8), PM10(7.8~19.5),PM2.5(1.1~2.8). so the consideration of avoid traffic peak when road sweeping should be taken.4. The OSPM model has achieved good results in the simulation of PM10concentration,When considering the source in applying OSPM model, the influence of the secondary fugitivedust must be consider apart from the emission of vehicle.
