Because of the special work environment and the complex geological conditions,mining accidents are requently happened in metal and nonmetal underground mines. The construction of emergency refuge system is helpful for enterprises to protect the miners’ lives,improve the ability to resist risks and disasters.The paper mainly researches and discusses emergency refuge system in Fan Kou lead-zinc mine with mathematical analysis methods and practical methods.The main contents and results obtained are as follows.(1)Research the demand of emergency refuge system in metal and nonmetal underground mines based on the analysis on environment characteristics,accident statistics and major accidents.To determine different demand of different mines, evaluate the danger of major disaster with the theory of fault tree.(2)Analysis the function and composition of emergency refuge system,analysis the function of emergency refuge system in mining accidents.Introduce self-rescuers and emergency refuge facilities.(3)Analysis the factors that affect the setting of emergency refuge facilities,build the model analytic hierarchy model,apply analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight of each index. It is concluded that the six important index of all eighteen are safety exits, hydrogeologic conditions,mechanization degree,blasting technique,rock strength,sulphur content.(4)Based on the safety characteristic and status quo of Fan Kou lead-zinc mine,design its emergency refuge system,set up the regulations for management,training and drill.(5)Establish the evaluate model of emergency refuge ability with matter-element theory. Evaluate the emergency refuge ability of Fan Kou lead-zinc mine with the evaluate model. Put forward measures to improve the emergency refuge ability.
