Terrestrial oil exploration field, one of the typical contaminated sites in China, was selected as the research background in this paper, and the soil pollutants in the site were selected as the object of the study. A primary priority checklist consists of petroleum, heavy metals, surfactants, polymer treatment agents, demulsifier was summarized by the combination of pollution source/pollutant types identification and priority monitoring principles. According to a semiquantitative scoring and ranking method,104possible pollutants in the oil exploration field were scored and ranked based on the examination of bioaccumulation, environmental persistence and toxicity, to identify the priority pollutants in soil. On the basis of scoring and ranking method, and on account of the problem that the scores of environmental persistence excesively concentrated and the problem of toxicity data shortage, hierarchical clustering method and K-mean cluster were applied in cluster analysis of bioconcentration factor, half-life period in soil, distributing percentage and toxicity, and by this method, new scoring principles were determined and then applied in priority pollutants identification. According to the blacklist at home and abroad, pollutants of high exposure risk were screened and estimated in three exposure pathways-oral, respirational and dermal, then cluster analysis was again applied in the classification of exposure risk value and the idea of semi-quantitative was introduced to approach a scoring principle for exposure risk. The scoring method in risk was then added into the modified scoring system to build a model more suitable for the oil exploration field, by the method above, the problems of neglect in actual concentration and date shortage were recovered, and the priority pollutants identification was finally realized.
