An Analysis To The Environmental Ethics Of The Development And Management Of Xuanwu Lake

Water is the source of life, the material basis of human survival. The lake is a mirror of a city, reflecting the city’s temperament, a witness to the city’s development, heritage of human culture, and the true portrayal of city ecology and culture. Setting between the ancient Nanjing city wall and the majestic Purple Mountain. Xuanwu Lake with its exquisite scenery lets the ancient capital Nanjing completely immersed in the landscape painting, so that people will produce unlimited reverie on the history and the future.With the acceleration of urbanization, industrialization, and commercialization processes and the rapid development of tourism, a few environmental moral anomies has also appeared in the development of Xuanwu Lake. For example, the lake ecological environment has been damaged by human activities, so has the natural environment due to construction and tourism, such as lack of cultural heritage. Xuanwu Lake has experienced continual management, from the peripheral exogenous sources of pollution remediation in the1970s, to water diversion project, ecological restoration at the beginning of this century and a series of measures in recent years, as well as environmental friendly scenic area development and management. In the new round of the Xuanwu Lake reform project Period One, Two and Three, a certain degree of importance has been attached to the ecological environment and the humanity environment protection. Today, the topic of the relationship between its development and protection has aroused wide concern of government and society, scholars and the public. How to balance the relationship between of the city construction, tourism development and ecological environment of the scenic spots? How to correctly handle the contradiction between the scenic spot development and protection? How to make stakeholders of the area in symbiotic Freemasonry? From the perspective of environmental ethics, this paper has analyzed the existing problems in the development of Xuanwu Lake and put forward the countermeasures.In this paper, the main contents are as follows:(1) summarizes and analyzes of contemporary before and contemporary lake between good and evil.(2) summarizes the existing environmental ethics problems during the development and management process of Xuanwu Lake, and analyzes the reasons.(3) proposes the environmental ethical principles for harmonious human-lake relations, and combined with the principle of environmental ethics for the development of Xuanwu Lake, finally puts forward the practice path for the realization of a harmonious human-lake relationship.
