Rural environmental information disclosure helps farmers understand the environmentalconditions of the surrounding,safeguard their environmental rights and interests, and improve theirability to protect the rural environment. Atpresent, the rural environmental information disclosure is still difficult to really step forward towards.And the farmers’ environmental right to know not guaranteed, which lead to the rural environmentalprotection issues are also increasingly prominent.So, on the basis of domestic and foreign research and through empirical investigation, we find themain problems of the rural areas of environmental information disclosure. for example, the legislativeprovisions deficiencies of environmental information disclosure, the defect of mentation as well aschannels for relief obstacles. Based on this analysis, we analysis of the reason why the current ruralenvironment information disclosure has those problems. There are environmental information disclosurelaws and regulations don’t have the provisions of the environmental problems in rural areas, theimplementation of the regulatory system is not perfect, the relief channels are not smooth, the impact ofsocial and cultural structure in rural areas,the difficulties of asserting their own rights and so on.After analysis of the problems and the causes of rural environmental information disclosure. Thepaper tries to present some suggestions and strategies to address these issues.To promote the ruralenvironment information disclosure, we propose to improve the environmental information disclosurelaws and regulations and level environmental information disclosure laws rank, which is to enhance theapplicability of the rural environment, and improve the rural environment information disclosureregulatory mechanism, strengthen supervision, and gradually build a platform for environmentalinformation disclosure, then improve farmers’ knowledge of environmental laws, and expand the meansof relief for public who can’t get the rural environment information, establish the system of theenvironment public interest litigation remedies, then explore means of relief in line with ruralenvironmental information disclosure and so on. Through the effective implementation of the abovesuggestions and countermeasures to gradually promote the disclosure of environmental information in rural areas and to protect farmers’ environmental right to know.
