Alhagi sparsifolia. is a genus of Alhagi in the family Fabaceae. It hasbeing used as Uyghur medicinal plant for long time.It has many efficaciessuch as relieving abnormal bile, alleviating the pain and nourishing the brain. It is widely used in treatment of headaches, intestinal consitipation andarthrodynia. It mainly contains flavonoids, sterols, alkaloids, fattyacids, ploysaccharides. The quality standard and any chemical marker ofAlhagi sparsifolia.has not been reported. In order to develop a new use ofAlhagi sparsifolia, establishment of the preparation process of chemicalmarker and the quality standard has been studied. On this basis, to fatherimprove the quality standard of Alhagi sparsifolia by HPLC Fingerprint. Itwill be a basis for medicine quality control and exploitation for Alhagisparsifolia in the future.Firstly, we established the quality control of Alhagi sparsifolia using themethod of measurement of water content, ash content and extracts.Thecontents of the isorhamnetin as indicator to extablish the quality standard ofAlhagi sparsifolia. the stability, persicion and reproducibility are investigated as methodology investigation for this methods. These parameters would be theuseful references for the drafting of quality control of in ChinesePharmacopeias. Secondly, the study of preparation chemical markers formAlhagi Sparsifolia. Optimize the process to obtain high-purity chemicalmarkers like isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside andisorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-galactosyl-(6-1)-α-L-rhamnoside. It is structure wascharacterized by mass spectrometry,1H NMR,13C NMR,.Thirdly, isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside was selected as an indexconsumption and high performance liquid chromatography methods wasapplied for the measurement of chemical marker isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-rutinoside in Alhagi sparsifolia. Finally, HPLC was used for the development of the fingerprint of Alhagisparsifolia. The result showed that the fingerprints of the samples from10different benches have high similarity with correlation coefficients above0.9.Peaks existing in the all10fingerprints were assigned as “commonpeaks”.There are11“common peaks” among the10benches of fingerprints. The HPLC method of fingerpringting is accurate, reliable, goodreproducibility, strong characteristic and can be used for the standard ofgenera judgment and the quality estimation of the Alhagi sparsifolia.
