Curved extruded profiles are usually used in lightweight design of automobile industry, The light-weighting of vehicle is one of the important developing directions in automobile industry, and the reduction weight of vehicle body plays a key role in the processes of light-weighting of vehicle. Curved extruded profiles lighten the vehicle body as well as improve the security conditions of vehicle.The key technology of producing curved extruded profiles lies in how to achieve the high precision bending process of the profile. At present in most countries, manufacture technics of curved extruded profiles comprise extrusion and rounding. Using curved profile extrusion(CPE),rebuild conventional extrusion machine, increase curve equipment,utilize remainder heat and force of extrusion,extrusion and bending were conducted in one working procedure.Avoid matter of conventional technics,such ascross section deflection and springback may occur,reduce cost and time of manufacture,improve capability of curved extruded profiles.In this paper, the software DEFORM-3D would be adopted to simulation the curved profile extrusion processing for hollow profile and obtain the simulation results.Comparing with the actual curved profile extrusion profiles, the forming of the profile concave amended by the parameter of wheel. The simulation results demonstrated the feasibility of using FEM simulation as a useful tool to solve industrial problems encountered in the production of complex curved extruded profiles.
