Study On Yunnan Minority Brocade And Its Weaving Skills

China has a long history in brocade technique, and it represents the highest level ofour country’s textile industry.Because of its unique weaving techniques and strong nationalcustoms, Yunnan minority brocade occupies an important position in China’s nationalbrocades.Based on the field visiting in Yunnan, this paper mainly focus on investigating theorigin, history, classification, pattern style, and the color of the AChang nationality, the Dainationality, and the Jingpo nationality, besides, this paper introduces the traditionalweaving techniques of each minority, analyzes its fabric structure, forming principle ofweaving machine, etc.This paper studied on AChang brocade for the first time. AChang brocade has twokinds of brocades which are separately warp brocade and weft brocade.Weft Brocadeorganizational structure re-latitude to latitude play a fundamental Organization (plainweave), pattern weft from the pattern of organization (three float downward long) need toselect the number of groups of lines of latitude, according to the pattern, the arrangementof the ground weft pattern weft2:1.
