| Bone glue is a kind of biodegradable natural polymers, which is fromcollagen, is a kind of environment-friendly adhesive materials. Bone glue candissolve in water with high bonding strength. The molecular conformation andthe structure of bone glue can be changed in different solvents. In addition, active groups in bone glue molecules can react with varieties of substance. Inthis paper, bone glue were studied to overcome disadvantages of it, such as shortstorage, hydrophobic properties and poor mechanical properties. Meanwhile, theadsorption of bone glue to formaldehyde and phenol were studied, and theadsorption kinetic feature and the mechanism were investigated by first andsecond order kinetics adsorption models. The main research content and resultare as follows. The influences of HCl11, citric acid and glutaraldehyde on the modificationof bone glue were investigated firstly. The modified bone glue was characterizedby rotational viscometer, universal material testing machine, scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM), contact angle measurement, fourier transform infraredspectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA). The influence ofvolume fraction of citric acid in mixed acid, hydrolysis time, hydrolysistemperature and glutaraldehyde contents on properties of bone glue wereinvestigated(with freezing point and the viscosity of modified bone glue asevaluation indexes). The optimal process conditions of preparing modified boneglue were obtained. The results showed that the best process conditions ofmodified bone glue were that when the volume fraction of citric acid was0.06%in25mL mixed acid, acid hydrolysis time and temperature were35min and65℃, respectively,0.5%glutaraldehyde was1.5mL when bone glue and waterwere25g and50mL, respectively. This modified bone glue had good thermalstability and some properties, such as freezing point at0℃,viscosity at1780 mPa.s,shear strength at1.67MPa,tackless time at3.5h and working life at90d.The relations between formaldehyde content adsorbed by the modified boneglue and adsorption temperature or adsorption time were investigated, and theadsorption curve was also fitted by first order kinetics adsorption models orsecond order kinetics adsorption models. Meanwhile, the adsorption kineticfeature and mechanisms were investigated. The results showed that whenadsorption temperature and adsorption time were55℃and7h respectively, theformaldehyde content adsorbed by modified bone glue was maximum(56.1mg.g-1) relatively; the adsorption kinetics curve of the modified bone glue canmeet first order kinetics adsorption models or second order kinetics adsorptionmodels, and the adsorption process include physical absorption and chemicalabsorption. On the basis of the above work, the absorption effects between bone glueand phenol were studied. The relations between phenol content adsorbed bymodified bone glue and concentration of phenol or adsorption temperature oradsorption time were investigated, and the adsorption curve was also fitted byfirst order kinetics adsorption models or second order kinetics adsorption models.Meanwhile, the adsorption kinetic feature and mechanisms were investigated. The results showed that when concentration of phenol and adsorptiontemperature and adsorption time were150mg.L-1and35℃and2h respectively, the phenol content adsorbed by modified bone glue was maximum(1.503mg.g-1)relatively; the adsorption kinetics curve of the modified bone glue can meet firstorder kinetics adsorption models or second order kinetics adsorption models, andthe adsorption process include physical absorption and chemical absorption.... |
