In recent years, the frequent occurrence of mine disaster "crowned" top of the ten disasters every year in China. It is uncoordinated to the theme of promoting a harmonious society in our country. Mine disaster not only caused the significant damage on people’s lives and personal property, but also had a negative impact in home and abroad. China’s coal regards as“the blood coal”by some countries in the world, which is very negative for our country’s international image. The occurrence of mine disaster in addition to flood, fire, gas and coal dust etc mainly reasons, the production conditions in poor, outdated facilities, a variety of security measures in place, and the other miners indifferent to the safety awareness are also the important factors of causing mine disaster. In fact, Died immediately because of flood, fire, gas and coal dust, roof accidents in the mine disaster only total about 15%~25% of deaths, more than 75%~85% of the distress about the death of miners in the mine disaster after the key "1 hour" because the drowning, suffocation, poisoning and other reasons can not promptly evacuat to safe areas in time due to death. In "Focus 1 hour", the miners rely mainly on self-help and mutual help tools to fight for survival, which requires miners related to individual protection, rescue equipment to play the role of distress.From the perspective of Co-design and Human-centered Design in the paper, through in-depth research of existing protection tools and distress reduce products and needs of miners, based on analysis cause of the mine disaster, By the method of industrial design involvement mine disaster, Integrates the Human-centered Design element in the design of miner’s protection and distress rescue tools, to advance the convenience of protection tool opening after mine disaster, to assure the protection rescue tool displayed function in maximum limit. Conformity miner’s protection in design: the function of miner ’s lamp, breathing mask as well as gas instrumentation conformited to safety helmet on miner, the function of Self-rescuer conformited to safety and safety helmet on miner; Transplant the technical principle of Auto safety aerocyst, used in carapace’s front and behind, for protection miner.It is obtained the scheme of miner’s individual protection and distress rescue tools about innovate settle miner’s casualties and effective protect miner’s life safety with co-design principle by the design in paper. Based on this, analyzed coordination process with the protection and distress rescue tools design,expected for reduction the maximum possible time of waiting for succor, in order to save the trapped miners.
