Innovative methods are the core of independent innovation. In the face of rapid scientific development and human demand, and in the environment of fast products update and high competition market, an efficient, fast, convenient and practical product innovation is needed urgently. The patent is a huge library resource of technical information and has become a favorable way of winning the competition. TRIZ provides a practical solution for technical problems in the product design. It plays an important role in absorbing advanced achievements, accelerating pace of innovation and saving a lot of resources for enterprise. On the basis of TRIZ and patent analysis, coupling relationships between patent and TRIZ were identified by the structural equation method.Based on patent and TRIZ, the current article absorbed other outstanding innovative design processes and proposed a new products innovation model. In order to verify the proposed method, a high-power submersible pump with cooling system is developed. The main contents and contributions of the dissertation include:Firstly, the combination of patent and TRIZ are supposed in this thesis. In the mean time, the coupling conceptual model is established, carried on fitting, and evaluation or amendment by using AMOS 7.0. This coupling is identified by the structural equation method.Secondly, according to the relativity between patent and TRIZ, a new products innovation model called P-TRIZ is proposed. The basic idea of this model is clarified. P-TRIZ is for multidisciplinary designers, based on patent and TRIZ, multi-angle and fast and efficient model. This model including many steps such as product requirement analysis, patent search, comparison of TRIZ and patent, design, patent application, market development, etc.. Each step is concretely analyzed in the paper.Thirdly, previous research of mine rescue technology and equipment is reviewed. The fact that underground mining being more than 1000 meters are urgent need to develop high-power submersible pump is put forward. Based on previous empirical research of the design of cooling structure in submersible motor, four corresponding programs to achieve commercialization and patent protection are designed as well.First of all, both theoretical analysis and engineering practice indicate that TRIZ and patent has coupling relationship. Specifically, three pairs of indicators such as patent applications and the level of innovation management, technology life cycle and R & D capabilities, the economic benefits of innovation and the perception of patent have covariant relationship. Those show that effectiveness of TRIZ is stronger than the patent in enterprises. Moreover, the P-TRIZ is reasonable and suitable for R&D. P-TRIZ has a strong theoretical guidance for product development and patent extension. Above all, the model of P-TRIZ has significant effects on product innovation a well as patent expansion of enterprises.
