In recent years,coal mine hazard caused by dynamic instability of surrounding rock arehappening with increasing frequency and causes casualties and economic losses. Dynamicinstability of surrounding rock caused by high stress and unloading disturbance is verycomplicated. The Monitoring System for Dynamic Instability of Surrounding Rock is aneffective monitoring and forecasting tool and the merits of the system include real-time andfast.Based on site investigation and analyzing method of optical parameter, the functionrequirement is proposed.The AT89C52MCU was used to build the host control module andpower supply module,angle examination module,memory module,and serial port module aredesigned.The host can communicate with MCU via RS-232serial interface. It offers ascientific ground for monitoring the iinstability of surrounding rock and safety mining ofmines.According to research and application,it has good stability,validity and adaptability.It hasalready applied in Da Hogngou coal mine and researched extensively at present and the resultis that it mains properties and index of technigue and satifies the need for coal mine safety.
