Design And Implementation Of The China World Heritage Display Platform Based On The Digital Earth Platform

World Heritage is human rare irreplaceable wealth confirmed by Heritage Committee. All mankind recognized that World Heritage is heritage and natural landscape having outstanding significance and universal value. World Heritage which was Inscribed on the World Heritage List by the World Heritage Committee Had a profound impact on their area, Not only world-renowned,But received financial assistance of the World Heritage Fund.China has joined the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage in the November22,1985. Until2012, China has43World Heritage vetted and approved by the UNESCO, In the world in terms of the third.With the rapid development of global science and technology "Digital Earth" From the conceptual model changed into concrete applications. Previously proposed many ideas about "Digital Earth" have become a reality and in related fields has very big convenient for the general public life. The concept of "Digital Earth" serving the public support the China World Heritage display platform.It aslo could push the process of digital world heritage site.This article main researched content for the following:I has consulted the world heritage related literature and data, Fully understand the protection and display of the World Heritage data at the same time, and further investigated the present situation of the China World Heritage,summarized achievements and deficiencies about protection and display of the World Heritage.I analyzed the digital earth and its application framework and the positive effect which the digital Earth platform such as Google Earth affect on China World Heritage display platform. I Researched on spatial information technology,3S, G/S model and its application in the China World Heritage display platform.I researched how Digital earth platform show Chinese world heritage geography based information and Aerial images.I also researched how using KML/KMZ load China World Heritage related vector data (landmarks, path, superposition of the ground layer, etc.) and how using Sketchup software set up Some Chinese world heritage3D modeling.I analyzed from the perspective of the general public the necessity about the China world heritage display platform adding the video, graphic introduction, weather forecast, the three dimensional model.In this paper, we obtained the following innovative points:Put forward a design technique china world heritage display platform based on digital Earth platform such as Google Earth. The platform can show the world heritage spatial geographic information and the3D model, and load vector data(placemarks, path, the superposition of the ground layer, etc)for world heritage by KML.The display platform in addition to show the world heritage spatial geographic information and the3D model, but also show hd video, graphic introduction, scenic area weather forecast and so on.In this paper, we obtained the following results:I designed and realized the China world heritage display platform.It based on the current popular "digital earth",Spatial information technology platform, Google Earth and can Comprehensive, multi-angle, multi-function unified display world heritage in China. It can promote China’s digital world heritage site, call for the whole society pay close attention to China’s development and protection of world heritage.
