Coal and gas outburst is one of the most fearful disaster to impact the safety states during coal mining. With the mining depth advancement, outburst disaster prevention work is becoming more and more serious, which attach great importance to the coal mine production and management. With GIS technology becoming increasingly mature, which having powerful spatial analysis capabilities and the integrated function between spatial data and attribute data, the scope of application of GIS is greatly expanded. GIS provide a set of spatial practices for outburst prevention based on GIS logical principles and outburst evaluation Technical:Using GIS spatial database to manage outburst data; Analysting outburst Influencing factors based on GIS, and displaying visually the degree of danger. It opens up new ideas of mine outburst evaluation. This paper summarize existing outburst evaluation results, established workface outburst evaluation model, the research studied GIS-based expression technique, developed workface outburst evaluation system based on GIS technology, and applied this system on the outburst practice, scientific evaluation workface outburst risk. The main contents include:(1) This paper analyzed the research progress in field of outburst evaluation at home and abroad, and combined with information technology. The research manage data, analyze spatial data and display combined workface outburst evaluation and GIS, Opened up a new way to the risk assessment study.(2) The research work comprehensive among warning theory, outburst prediction technology and systems engineering theory. With the analysis of data among contents mining, gas, geology and outburst prevention measures, this paper developed workface outburst evaluation index system. Through fuzzy mathematical theory, the research established workface outburst evaluation model.(3) With the analysis of GIS functions supporting the workface Outburst, the research provided system solutions plan of workface outburst evaluation based on GIS. Studying the key technology of workface outburst assessment model realization based on GIS, the research realized workface outburst evaluation map establish technical, Provide technical support for the development of visualization workface outburst evaluation system.(4) Through the study of spatial data and attribute data management model, the research provided system data solutions plan, established category management model for management data and workface outburst spatial data, realized data integrated management and visualization of face outburst.(5) Based on Visual Studio2005platform and SuperMap Object6R which is domestic leading GIS secondary development tools, this research developed workface outburst evaluation system which combined information management and workface outburst evaluation. The research realized browsing mine map, data analysis, mapping contour, mapping thematic maps and exporting mine map, and provided a digital platform for workface outburst Prevention and cure.(6) With the field test of the system, this research evaluated of workface level from design, boring to recovery and produced the workface outburst evaluation map. Follow-up survey, this research analysis comparatively the outburst forecast results from the traditional outburst prediction means and the evaluative map from the system proceeds, the two results are highly consistent. The results verified scientific and availability of this study. The system has a certain reference value and guiding significance for improving the accuracy and reliability of the mine workface outburst prevention, it realizated visual management of workface outburst. It is an effective decision support tool for surface mine gas prevention and control project work.
