Materialization of human nature in technology era (MHNTE) is one of thecontradictory issue between scientific technologies and human development inthe context of sophisticated scientific technologies.Firstly, beginning with the concept of the materialization of human nature,this article analyzes the different conceptual meanings and manifestations of theissue in different periods. Secondly, from the points of development backgroundand the causes of the issue, it expounds the development and evolution fromhistorical perspective in both oversea and domestic conditions and elaborates theobjective, subjective, social and fundamental causes of the issue. Thirdly, itanalyzes the relationship between material consumption and materialization ofhuman nature who impact on each other and mutually promote. The impact ofmaterial consumption on is delivered by material production upon the fastdeveloping commodity economy; meanwhile, the materialization of humannature controls material consumption by the way of subjective consciousness ofhuman being. Being addicted to material consumption and pursuing to freshnesshas drawn human being themselves, who are in technology era, into the swampof the materialization of the human nature that is hard to get escape from. Intechnology era, the material consumption are distinctively characterized byunreal consumption demand, material-driven consumption pattern, themateriality of spirit consumption and the consumptive society property oftechnology era. The manifestation of material consumption in the issue of thematerialization of human nature are flaunt, wasting and excessiveness. Lastly,after discussing the basic points of materialization of human nature, this articlesets forth the three major harms to the nature caused by the materialization ofhuman nature, that are massive waste of natural resources, serious ecologicalcrisis and unbalance between human being and the nature; it also talks about theharms to human being which are materialization of relationship among people, unbalance of material life and mental life, the unvalued individuality andpsychological diseases caused by it. This article brings up five solutions to theissue of materialization of human nature:1, make People Oriented as the core ofdeveloping scientific technology;2, proper social control should be made onscientific technologies;3, setting up rational and reasonable consumption view;4, reconstruct the spiritual civilization;5, building appropriate happinessphilosophy to improve self happiness.
