In recent decade, more and more physicists and computer scientists have realized the importance of complex system study and threw themselves into the research. Social system, as one of the most complicated complex systems, has become a promising research object. Human being’s scientific activitiy, including scientific paper publication, is a very important social system. In social system studies, it often happens that a sociologist has a brilliant qualitative idea, but cannot present a quantitative description. Mathematical experts and computer scientists may have a quantitative description to the thoughts, which would contribute to uncovering new general laws.In this thesis we have studied the cooperation between scientists from the viewpoint of complex networks. For the whole world top scientists, we set out our investigation from the article data of Nature database, using the method of complex network algorithm, and define a cooperative-based complex network of cooperation. Scientist is for the node and interaction among scientists is for edge.(That edge had one or more cooperation article). The entire item subgraph indicates cooperation. Then we give out some important results of the network, including the distribution of nodes’ degrees, the distribution of items’ degrees, the average clustering coefficient, the average shortest path, the congener character, the distribution of the nod-strength and so on. Combing actual system to statistics we analyze and give some character result include that cooperation network’s cumulate total node weight distribution, cumulate node degree distribution, cumulate node intensity distribution obeying to " shifted pow law" and cumulate itme degree distribution cluster coefficient with node degree’s varitation showing good exponential functions.The fourth chapter covers an investigation, made from a totally different angle, into the complex system of the scientific research article publication. It is intuitional that a higher quality scientific journal accepts articles from higher academic level authors and invites even higher level authors to be its editorial board members. In this thesis we present a model and simulation describing interaction between journals, authors and editorial board members. In the model both the probabilities, with which a journal accepts papers from an author or invites him being an editorial board member, obey normal distributions. However, the most probable value of the later distribution shifts so that the journal can have higher level authors being its editorial board members. The model analytic conclusion is in rather good agreement with the empirical observation in15real world journals with different influence factors. We successfully obtained a quantitative expression of an intuitional idea by a simple and appropriate model. This quantitative expression describes the relation functions between journals, authors and editorial board members which is important for scientists and, may be, also for the scientific administrations. Study about this part has been published in Chin. Phys. Lett.The UNSPSC ontology mainly applies to the classification system of the e-business and governments buying the worldwide products and services, and supports the logic structure of classification of the products and services. In this paper, the related technologies of the complex network were applied to analyze the structure of the ontology. The concept of the ontology was corresponding to the node of the complex network, and the relationship of the ontology concept was corresponding to the edge of the complex network. With existing methods of analysis and performance indicators in the complex network, analyzing the degree distribution and community of the ontology, and the research will help evaluate the concept of the ontology, classify the concept of the ontology and improve the efficiency of semantic matching. Study about this part has been published in CCCM2010.This paper mainly do the above study, with the complex network theory, computer algorithm simulation, the complex network theory and the theory of integration of computer software technology to solve practical problems, there are preliminary results for further research and study.
