The construction of Informationization is a development trend and fashion of the worldtoday, and a significant way to scientifically manage land resource, too. During eleventhfive-year-plan, the construction of land resource Informationalization had a remarkable result,but there are also new situation and challenges during twelve five-year-plan. So, it is veryimportant to build Land Use Spatial Database.Based on the background research situation of land use spatial database, target,significance and current research situation, the study has discussed the Geodatabase which isthe most popular database management system, and described the way to design and buildland use spatial database in detail. In the thesis, land use spatial database has been set up bythe tools of CASE which is the second method of the thesis. The tools of CASE are used tocreat the UML model of Feature Class, Relationship Class, Subtype Class, Domain and Tableand so on. And then, it need to export UML model to XML. Last, it should use the tools ofESRI Semantics Checker to check the model.According to logic designed of land use spatial database, it divided into the basis landuse, present land use and land use planning. On the basis of spatial features and non-spatialfeatures, the attribute tables of database were designed. And land use database metadata contentwas instituted.To the example of LvShun, it imports the model of UML by the tools of Schema Wizardin ArcCatalog. And then, put in the data of lvshun to impalement land use spatial database.
