The maintenance policy of the repairable system is a significant aspect in the researchof reliability, the maintenance model considering limited repair time and delay repair is anew topic in the maintenance policy. There are four important repairable systems: theone-component repairable system, the cold standby system, theα-series system and theshock model. On the base of the references, the paper has generalized the four repairablesystems, by using the renewal process, the geometric process and theα-power process, the objective functions under different policies are given, the optimal policies of thesystems are obtained, and the existence of the optimal policies are checked.First of all, the one-component repairable system with delay repair and singlevacation has been studied. The system assumed that it can be not repaired as good as new,and its repair will be delayed in proportion "1p", the replacement policy based on thefailure number is considered. By using the renewal process and the α-power process, theexplicit expression of the long-run average cost per unit time is derived. Then, wecalculate the optimal policy by the numerical example, and the average cost is minimal. In the next place, the maintenance policy of the repairable system with multiplevacations and impact model studied has been researched. The replacement policy isconsidered respectively based on the failure number N, by using the geometric processand the α-power process, the explicit expression of the long-run expected benefit forrepair equipment per unit time is derived. Finally, the existence of optimal policy isdemonstrated by the numerical example. In the third place, the maintenance policy for system whose repair time is limited hasbeen studied. The replacement policy is considered based on the failure numbers, by usingthe renewal process and the geometric process, the optimal policy of the system isevaluated. Finally, an optimal policy is determined numerically. Finally, the maintenance policy for the elevator which is in running situation isstudied. By using the geometric process and renewal process, replacement policies underthree different conditions are adopted by the failure numbers of the system, and the systemlong-run average income per unit time is evaluated. Finally, the optimal policy is obtained by the numerical example.
