As an important research direction of the work of geological disaster preventionand control, risk assessment of geological not only includes the possibility ofoccurrence of geological disaster, but also predicts the possible consequences if thehazards hanppen. It reflects the probability of geological disaster in different grades.The intention is to assess the strength of loss caused by geological disaster and toprovide scientific basis of the planning of the geological disaster prevention,deployment and implementation. So it has the important theory and practicalsignificance and broad application space.Based on a lot of results of geological disaster risk assessment at home andbroad, the writer deeply analyzed the composition of risk assessment of geologicaland the compartmentalization, classification and quantification of risk assessmentelements in Pingwu country through the collection of data on the the geologicaldisaster research in Pingwu country. Risk assessment of geological mainly composedby hazard assessment and vulnerability assessment which have their own evaluationindex system and evaluation methods.In this paper the geological disaster risk assessment in the study is analyzedthrough geological disaster situation and disaster generation condition, the bureau ofPingwu county geological disaster hazard assessment is divided into seven factors,including the distribution of disasters, the earthquake intensity distribution, fracture,engineering rock group, rivers, slope and rainfall distance. According to differentindex classification, the writer unifies quantification with ArcGIS software. Then according to the expert experience and hierarchical analysis model, the writercalculates the factor weights, and gets geological disaster hazard assessment zoningmap through the ArcGIS space for analysis of the function of all factors in operation.Geological disaster vulnerability assessment includes property and populationvulnerability. According to the bureau of Pingwu county property vulnerability toclass diagram, the writers gets property vulnerability figure by using statisticalanalysis of the space provided by ArcGIS tools, all types of land area as well as thecombination of monomers on values. The population of vulnerability is mainly basedon the population density of Pingwu county. The writer gets geological disasterzoning map with ArcGIS to stack operation right, and concludes that the regionalgeological disasters vulnerability figure. Finally the writer stacks the risks andvulnerability diagram according to four grades for heavy classification, and concludesthat the geological disaster risk evaluation map of Pingwu county.The writer compared the investigation results and the ones gained by ArcGISprocessing the geological disaster risk evaluation of Pingwu county, and found theresults is close to the evaluation results of geological disaster of Pingwu county. Thispaper is to prove the feasibility of the method and the scientific nature.
