The geological environment is closely related to human production and life,and plays a crucial role in urban construction and development.However,the acquisition and utilization of natural resources such as land,water,and minerals that are relied upon for urban construction and development can cause varying degrees of resource waste and environmental pollution during processes such as land transformation,groundwater exploitation,and mineral resource extraction.Therefore,how to efficiently and reasonably promote urban construction planning under limited geological environmental resources has become a difficult problem that needs to be solved for sustainable urban development.Currently,conducting geological environmental evaluations for single land use types is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of urban development.It is urgent to carry out geological environmental risk assessments for different land use types to make more rational use of geological environmental resources.Based on the comprehensive geological survey pilot project for ecological civilization zone conducted by the China Geological Survey Bureau in Yichang,this study selected the Yichang Along the River Planning Zone as the research object and conducted geological environmental suitability evaluation,geological environmental hazard evaluation,socio-economic vulnerability evaluation,and geological environmental risk evaluation for different land use types using the ArcGIS platform.The main research content and conclusions are as follows:(1)By combining qualitative and quantitative methods,the geological environment suitability of different functional land use types in the study area was evaluated.Four evaluation indexes were selected for residential and public facility land use: landform,location condition,engineering geological condition and geological disaster condition,and one index of sensitive factor in highly prone area of geological disaster.Five evaluation indexes(terrain and geomorphology,location conditions,engineering geology conditions,hydrogeology conditions and geological disaster conditions)and two sensitive factor indexes(areas with high incidence of geological disasters and distance from polluted areas of factories)were selected for industrial and storage land use.The AHP combined with yaahp software was used to evaluate and regionalize the suitability,and the suitability distribution map of different functional land types was drawn.The results show that the suitable areas for residential and public facilities are mainly concentrated in the southeast plain with flat terrain.The unsuitability areas are mainly concentrated in the north of Yiling District,the west of Dianjun Military region and most mountain forest areas in Yidu area,and are close to the fault structure.The suitable areas for industrial and storage land are mainly concentrated in Xiling District,Wujiagang District,Xiaoting District and part of Zhijiang City in the center of Yichang.With flat terrain,convenient transportation and close to surface water,it is very suitable for the site selection and construction of various industrial areas.The unsuitability area is mainly concentrated in Yiling District,which is located in mountain forest zone with large relief and inconvenient transportation.(2)Six evaluation indexes including earthquake intensity,slope,elevation,geological disaster susceptibility,suitability of land for residential and public facilities,suitability of industrial and storage land,and soil heavy metal pollution sensitive factors were selected.AHP was adopted and yaahp software was combined to carry out geological environmental risk assessment and zoning,and the geological environmental risk distribution map of the study area was drawn.The results show that the overall risk is low in the study area,and the distribution of geological hazards is scattered.(3)By consulting the statistical yearbook of Yichang City,four primary indicators were selected for evaluation: population vulnerability,economic vulnerability,road vulnerability,and building vulnerability.The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to carry out social and economic vulnerability assessment and zoning of seven counties and districts in the study area.The distribution map of social and economic vulnerability in the study area was drawn.The results showed that high vulnerability areas were mainly distributed in the central core urban area of the study area,where the population is concentrated,buildings are dense,and transportation is convenient.Low vulnerability areas were mainly concentrated in the mountainous areas in the northwest and southwest of the study area,where the population is scattered,buildings are sparse,and transportation is less convenient.(4)According to the evaluation results of geological environment risk and social vulnerability,the geological environment risk evaluation model was used to divide the study area into five grade areas and 19 sub-areas,and the geological environment risk distribution map and the geological environment risk zoning map were drawn.According to the evaluation results of different cells combined with the existing urban planning of Yichang city,comparative analysis is made,and the geological environment problems existing in each evaluation unit are put forward,and the reasonable repair and rectification suggestions are given.The geological environment risk assessment was carried out for the built-up area along the Yangtze River in Yichang City.It was found that the built-up area was located in the low-risk area and the low-risk area,which was in line with the urban construction planning of Yichang City.Planning suggestions for different functional recommended land were put forward for the unbuilt areas,and the recommended land for residential and public facilities,industrial and storage,and ecological greening were divided,which provided evaluation reference for the relevant departments of Yichang to carry out follow-up urban planning. |
