Plant databases and information systems has become a hot topic of today’s biodiversity conservation and utilization of research.In this study, on the basis of the previous long-term fieldwork, monitoring and data analysis, based on the WINDOWS+Apache+MySQL+PHP+ArcGIS Server environment, the B/S institutions, establishment of plant resources, the spatial distribution of application development, quality information. information management and retrieval of map query functions to query the integrated information management system. PHP is a server-side, cross-platform, HTML embedded scripting language, you can run on multiple platforms, three operating systems such as UNIX, LINUX, the WINDOWS, enhanced portability, making system development easier and efficient; use the Apache Web server, the small size, speed, and low-cost MySQL relational database; using the ArcGIS Server development platform WebGIS module provides a range of functions, better performance of the GIS components to complete system GIS spatial query functions.This paper first describes the purpose and significance of the system development, followed by the system requirements analysis, system architecture design, system features modular design, system development platform and database design. Among them, the database entry of the110families of more than1,000species of plant resources information and more than100species of plants quality information for unified management of data information. The same time, the system is divided into two parts front and back office, the administrator through the background information on plant resources and quality information to add, modify and delete operations. On the basis to build a GIS server, publishing to ArcGIS Server services, the release of the electronic map. The system includes a plant directory module, the spatial distribution of modules, application development module, quality information module and the map search module, the data classification and management. System information management, retrieval and query component analysis functions and WebGIS spatial query. The stability of the system is operating normally.The system is scalable, the future of the spatial analysis function of WebGIS and system advanced search functions should be extended.
