The cost of airborne geophysical using large aircraft equipped with the high cost of magnetic measuring instruments is too high, and measurement accuracy is low because the large aircraft flight altitude is generally above1000m. The main aeromagnetic survey instrument--Optically Pumped Magnetometer is very expensive, and it exists dead zone. So the low altitude air aerial Proton Magnetometer based on Unmaned Aerial Vehicle was designed. After excited by excitation field, the proton in the probe would around the magnetic field rotation. The frequency of rotation signal is proportional to the value of magnetic field, which is the principle of Proton precession magnetometer. Combining the characteristics of southern Peru’ mining area and flight speed and interference source of Unmaned Aerial Vehicle, I have designed the low altitude air aerial Proton Magnetometer, and have completed the prototype development. The paper introduces the research status and development trend of the aeromagnetic and proton magnetometer at first, and then gives the system design and block diagram of ultra-low flight proton magnetometer based on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. The paper analyzes the characteristics of the Larmor signal, and base on the characteristics, the paper gives series of measure to deal with the Larmor signal. According to the characteristics of signal, the paper uses equal precision frequency measurement method to measure the frequency of the signal based on CPLD. And According to the needs of function, the paper presents the control circuit based on the C8051F340. In the system test, the circuit gain and band-pass filter and the amplification of the Larmor signal were tested. At last, the paper concludes the whole work, and gives the recommendations for improvement.
