Dali-Ruili railway is proposed railway line in western Yunnan province, china. The railway passes through southeast edge of Hengduan Mountains in the southeast sector of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The region is characterized with complex geological setting and the predominant geological hazards. The geological hazards will cause great harm to the railway construction. Therefore, the engineering zonation of geological hazards is great significance for the line selection and seismic prevention.Consequently, this research is carried out to study and analysis multi problems related to the geological hazards of Dali-Ruili railway by using systemic viewpoints. Based on the geological situation of the particular area of Dali-Ruili railway, the engineering zonation of geological hazards has been done, in addition to engineering zonation management information system of Dali-Ruili railway has been set up according to the principles and standards of engineering zonation of the geological hazards. The research includes the following points:(1) According to the experimental study and the achievements of the previous work, the engineering zonation index is studied and the engineering zonation methods are discussed.(2) Combined with the topography, geomorphology, climate conditions, hydrogeology, lithology, the type and scale of the geological hazards, various factors impacting on the geological hazards have been analyzed and the geological hazards engineering zonation index system of Dali-Ruili railway has been set up, as well as the mathematical model also has been set up based on AHP (analytic hierarchy process) of fuzzy mathematical theory. The engineering zonation of the geological hazards in the Baoshan-mangshi segment of Dali-Ruili railway has been done by use of this model.(3) On the basis of the research of the engineering zonation of the geological hazards, the geological hazards engineering zonation manage information system of Dali-Ruili railway has been finished and the computerization of the geological hazards engineering zonation, the geological hazards and railway engineering information management also has been done.
