In recent decades, as the scale and strength of human activities increasing constantly, the irrational utilization of human to the nature results in that the contradiction between human and environment intensifies, and triggers a series of natural disasters, among them, the geologic hazard is the key part. Our China has also done a lot of investigations on Geological disasters. However, the investigation has these characters: large volume of data and complex structures of data, including not only spatial data, but also attribute data. Its polyphyleticism, fuzziness, non-determinism and randomness make the information processing and space comprehensive analysis model complicated. Therefore, for the efficient management of the information on geological hazards, we require a powerful spatial database and the GIS technology with powerful spatial data processing capabilities.This paper briefly introduces the features of the .NET framework, c # and ArcGIS Engine, and discusses three methods of plug-in realizations, according to the plug-in realization mode, and then chooses the.net reflection technology to realize the plug-in. on this Base, this paper puts forward the plug-in framework including a host program, plug-ins and the public function database. The thesis Designs an interaction contract communication between host program and the plug-ins, and realizes it by interface,and develops general functions of GIS, such as map location, element selection, eagle-eye map and so on.This paper analyzes the geological disaster information, and gets Yingxiu regional geological hazard information on the study of remote sensing images, geological maps, topographic maps; Building a spatial database with Microsoft SQL Server, and ArcGIS SDE, this paper tries to apply NET + ArcGIS Engine as a development platform combining with advanced plug-in development, developing plug-in GIS geological hazard information management system.Thesis yielded the following results:(1)Presenting ArcGIS Engine-based plug-in GIS software developing methods, completing the integration of functional modules and system platform, and realizing the rapid development of GIS systems;(2) Completing the application-oriented plug-in GIS platform development, including the host system, plug-in plug connectors and the basic function development; (3) Developing plug-ins related to geological disaster information management, and integrating these plug-ins into plug-in GIS platform and realizing the management on geological disaster information;(4) This thesis analyzes the information of geological hazards, designs the spatial database and attribute database and applies Microsoft SQL Server to build geological disasters information database.(5) Through the interpretation on Yingxiu remote sensing image, we get geological disaster information on this region, and applying plug-in GIS platform to statistical analyze geological hazards information, results in that geological hazards are mainly controlled by faults, water and slope.
