Chaos is the uncertain and random output which the definite nonlinear systems produce; the nonlinear dynamic characteristics can be used to describe and quantify many complex and mysterious phenomena in nature. With the deep research, the chaos has some signal such as non-periodic, broadband spectrum, randomness and noise-like characteristics and gradually sets off a climax of application research in many areas, one of which is chaos application in secure communication.Current research progress, chaos or chaotic systems synchronization is the key of achieving secure communication. So how to realize synchronization and how to apply chaos synchronization effectively to secure communication are the focus of this study.In this paper, firstly, base on introduction of chaos, chaos synchronization, the principle of application in secure communication and several common secure communication technologies, study on synchronization control of different chaotic systems. For a class of nonlinear systems, select the appropriate controller to realize projection synchronization; the Lyapunov stability theory is given. And numerical simulation is studied not only for the same order of the Lorenz, Chen chaotic systems and the Lorenz, Rossler chaotic systems, but also for different orders chaotic systems, they all confirm that different chaotic systems controllers are feasibility and effectiveness; based on chaos projection synchronization, through chaotic masking method, study secure communication. For the lack of chaotic masking, chaotic masking secure communication method is further improved; theoretical analysis and numerical simulation both confirm the program effectiveness. Next, study synchronization between different hype-chaotic systems through an adaptive method and apply the synchronization to secure communication. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation results also confirm the given program feasibility.This study has some reference value for chaos synchronization and secures communication technology advance.
