There is a gradual interim quality of the vegetation of Shanxiprovince at the water level, developing a obvious vertical zonegrade height above sea level, so studying this type makes sense tothe vegetation of loess plateau. Because of many factors beingthere, for instance nature and climate, forest vegetation isdestroyed badly, Shrub ecology system is playing more importantrole in Shanxi province. Hippophae rhamnoides Shrub arescarttered normally in Shanxi province, having economic valueand ecological value of reviving vegetation ,keeping water andimproving soil conditions. The results of man_made vegetation ofShanxi province is equipped with important significance of theoryand practice.Hippophae rhamnoides being part of Elaeagnaceae legumeof Hippophae genus is a kind of falling leaf Shrub with solar qualityof resisting high and low temperature, dry, poor and salt soilconditions and sand weather conditions. 36°26′-40°33′N,111°51′-114°26′E is its geographic distribution. Hippophaerhamnoides grows fast at the 800-1400m of hill zone with quality ofresisting bad climate conditions and keeping soil, preventing wind,fitting for planting barren mountain. By taking field survey method, this research results come from165 samplings of loess hill regions of northwest of Shanxi province,Heng Mountain, northern region of Taihang Mountain, TaiyueMoutain, Lvliang Mountain and so on,showing that Hippophaerhamnoides of Shanxi province contains 203 types, belonging to54legume and 159genus. Hippophae rhamnoides tribe system iscomplicated with composing many parts, the temperate zone isprominent among them as showing the character of diversity oflegume of spermophyte and the geographic distribution of genus ofspermophyte. The appearance of this tribe is Hemicry potophytebasically.By using TWINSPAN theory ,this result divided 165 Hippophaerhamnoides samplings into 10 Association,they areⅠAss.Hippophae rhamnoides-Stipa capillata、ⅡAss.Hippophaerhamnoides-Elymus dahuricus、ⅢAss. Hippophae rhamnoides-Carexlancifolia、ⅣAss. Hippophae rhamnoides +Rosa xanthina- Artemisiasacrorum、ⅤAss. Hippophae rhamnoides-Melilotus officinalis、ⅥAss.Hippophae rhamnoides- Avena fatua、ⅦAss. Hippophae rhamnoides-Clematis argentilucida、ⅧAss. Hippophae rhamnoides- Agrimoniapilosa、ⅨAss Hippophae rhamnoides- Potentilla chrysantha、ⅩAss.Hippophae rhamnoides+Spiraea pubescens- Carex lancifolia.The firstrod of DCA ordered charts reflects light grades,the second reflectssoil parts.DCA research results indicates the major factors whichconfine the distribution of Hippophae rhamnoides tribe are light andsoil water.By the numbers of richness degree index, species diversitydegree index and uniform degree index, combined with TWINSPAN and DCA theory, species diversity and its function system arestudied, the results indicates that the numbers of richness degreeindex , species diversity degree index and uniform degree index ofHippophae rhamnoides plot samplings showing that they are moreherb layer than Shrub layer.
