Real-time and multi-channel GPS signal simulator is the apparatus whichcan generate various GPS signal in different environments. So that it’s veryconvenient for GPS receiver to be researched, explored, and tested, while it’salso very helpful for the GPS system simulation.According to the studies of the GPS signal characteristics and itstransmission environment, this thesis derives the mathematical model of theGPS signal simulator. And the simulation and test of the model verifies itsfeasibility.Then, under the research of the mainly used hardware platforms andbased on the analysis of its computational complexity and the real-timerequirements, the hardware implementation framework is designed. And theimplementation of the chief modules of the design, including the calculationof transmission time and accurate simulation of the GPS signal’s phasechange in the transmission from GPS satellite to receiver, are introduced, aswell as the system workflow of the GPS signal simulator.Finally, the signal simulator is implemented. Two different proposals areused to test it, including Spectrum Analyzer and software receiver. And theresults show that the Real-time and multi-channel GPS signal simulator workswell.
