The Relevance Of Industrial Transformation And Upgrading And Foreign Trade In The Yangtze River Delta Region

The study of industrial transformation and upgrading and foreign trade is the two hot issues in economy field. Domestic and foreign scholars in these two issues made a lot of theoretical analysis and empirical research, but their interrelated and mutually influence is not much researched, its theoretical system is still immature. Yangtze River Delta economic circle is the largest economic circle, while it is also comprehensive region of China. In the socialist modernization, it also has an important strategic position and leading role. The object of this study is the industrial transformation and upgrading and foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta region. In explaining the mechanism of interaction between the two, we have done a quantitative study, not only to analyze the direction of industrial transformation and upgrading, and measured the rate of industrial transformation and upgrading. Empirical part, focused on two aspects of research: Based on the Granger causality test, the one hand, using Shift-share model study industrial transformation and upgrading of trade effects; the other hand, using semi-logarithmic model analysis of foreign trade industrial of transformation and upgrading effects. Ultimately reached the following conclusions: Overall, Industrial transformation and upgrading exists a significant correlation with foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta region. Foreign trade structure has played a certain role in promoting the industrial transformation and upgrading, also to a certain extent, the industrial transformation and upgrading promoted the development of foreign trade.
