| With the rapid development of China's economy, more and more foreign companies especially the MNCs are accelerating the pace of entering Chinese market. In order to enhance the internationalization, improve productivity, reduce manufacturing cost and enhance their own competitiveness, more and more production lines have been or will be transferred from the parent companies to their overseas subsidiaries in the same time of further increasing customer satisfaction. With the benefit of reducing the cost, there are many risks and issues in the project progress, project cost control and project communication etc during the transfer of overseas production.To solve the problems mentioned, a project management process of production transfer is constructed and developed in this paper, which is based on the analytical summary of MNCs'the executing experiences of past production transfer projects and current situation of overseas production transfer projects. Model management is a kind of molded and complete management system which can be directly referenced and used, through this system people can find and solve problems in management process, standardize management, improve the management mechanism and achieve established goal. In the proposed project management process, the detail compulsory requirements and guidance are documented in each project management phase in order to avoid common and typical problems in progress, cost and communication effectively and improved the project's performance in the result. The application of this process prevents the occurrence of problems mentioned above effectively in the typical application case study. The success application of the process has certain value of reference toward the other MNCs'overseas production transfer project management. |
