As big producing countries of textiles and garments and the two biggest developing countries, Sino-India textile and garment industries have too many similarities, and the competition between the two countries is very fierce. Chinese textile and garment industry has had a series of problems pressing for solution in recent years. On the other side, there are a few things worth learning in Indian textile and garment industry.The paper analyzes Sino-India trade competition relationship of textiles and garments in the global market, the EU market, the USA market and the Sino-India bilateral market. The paper analyzes Sino-India trade competitiveness of textiles and garments by using Net Barter Terms of Trade and revealed symmetric comparative advantage index; Analyzes Sino-India trade competition of textiles and garments by using relative trade competition index, export product similarity index, added value distribution and trade competition pressure index; Analyzes Sino-India trade mutual demand of textiles and garments by using trade complementarity index and intra-industry trade index. Through the analysises, discovers that Sino-India textiles and garments both have very strong trade competitiveness, and have very strong trade competition in the global market, the EU market and the USA market. At the same time, Sino-India textiles and garmentsThen, the paper compares and analyzes Sino-India textile and garment industry's strengths and weaknesses by using Baud's "the diamond model". Chinese textile and garment industry should keep the strengths and borrow ideas from Indian textile and garment industry. At last, provides suggestions on how to promote Chinese textile and garment industry and reinforce our position as the biggest country of textile and garment industry.
