Research On The Relation Of Social Capital And Knowledge Sharing Within Technology-based New Ventures

Technology-based new ventures is an important driving force of the main carrier of technological innovation and economic growth. The survival and development of the technology-based new ventures dependent on the successful transfer of core technology and key knowledge resources. How to develop and mining the resources and release tacit knowledge from the depth of the"complex individual and team wound"to realize knowledge sharing within the enterprise has become an important aspect of management decisions in technology-based new ventures. Therefore, to study the technology-based new ventures, especially to analysis and discuss of how to translate the resources that hide in the minds of individual into common resources that the entire enterprise can use, both from a theoretical perspective, or from a practical point of view, are of great significance.Based on the perspective of internal social capital, this paper analyzed the impact of knowledge sharing within technology-based new ventures. On the basis of existing research results, the paper system combined the domestic and foreign literature, and combined with the relevant characteristics of technology-based new ventures, then deep analysis the relation of technology-based new ventures, knowledge sharing and the tacit degree of knowledge, after that, this paper put forward the assumption and the empirical research. During the survey, the paper use the structural equation model and regression analysis to analysis the the relationship between social capital and knowledge sharing in technology-based new ventures. This paper confirmed the composition of social capital. Besides, this paper also took the tacit degree of knowledge as an adjusted variable to explore the role of knowledge characteristics in the relation between social capital and knowledge sharing in technology-based new ventures. Through this empirical research, ultimately the paper drew the following conclusions: First, it proposed and confirmed the composition of technology-based new ventures'social capital.Based on the construct of three-dimensional framework, the paper confirmed it including networking, emotional trust, cognitive trust, common language and common background; Second, through the use of correlation analysis, the paper analyzed the direct impact of social capital on knowledge in technology-based new ventures and the result shows the three-dimensional and its sub-dimensions have a strong correlation with knowledge sharing; Thirdly, through the use of hierarchical regression analysis, the paper analyzed the adjusted role of the tacit degree of knowledge in the relation between social capital and knowledge sharing in technology-based new ventures. The result shows the degree of tacit knowledge play a different role in the relation between the dimensions and its sub-dimensions of social capital and knowledge sharing in the technology-based new ventures.
