The Study On Tea Industry Status And Countermeasures In Menghai County

Menghai is located in the westsouth of Yunnan province, which is not only one of the core zones of the origin of the tea plant, but also the main productionarea of Puer tea popularing at home and abroad. The history of tea production, drinking and consuming was long, during the Tang dynasty, the tea made in Menghai has been exported to Tibet. After the foundation of P.R.China, the tea production gradually became one of the key industries in Menghai county, the income of local ethnic groups mainly depended on tea production. Menghai's Puer tea are famous for its high quality and unique characters,recently, with the development of Puer tea rapidly, tea production was becoming more and more dominant in the development of Menghai's economy. Currently, the government of Menghai decided to construct the biggest county of Puer tea production in China, which was a quite brilliant strategy,and a systems engineering as well. In order to reach this goal, the relationship of the key factors including pre-prodction, mid-production and past-production should been coordinated, meanwhile, the development mechanism should been improved continuously.In this paper, the Structure, Conduct and Performance(SCP) of Menghai's tea industry were analysed through integrating theory with practice, demonstration and criterion. Meanwhile, the author also summarized the current status and existed questions of Menghai's tea production and industy and it's organizations. Finally, the proposals for improving the development of Menghai's tea industry were provided.
