Since Chinese reform and open policies has been implemented, China retail business has developed rapidly and significantly. Retail business has been on the top area in Chinese marketization economy. Private enterprises are playing more and more important roles in Chinese retail business. Although they starting late without strong basis, they have expanded and consummated speedily because they have flexible adaptive capacity. In modern China, they have been imperative drives and kept Chinese economy developing fast, continuously and rationally. However, private enterprises also have some problems. Financing, lack of modern managerial concepts and approaches, the brain drain and limited excitation mechanism restrict their abilities to develop more. Specially, the limited competitiveness of talents has become the key barrier for private organizations. Consequently, private companies should fully use their HR functions to establish an effective and efficient salary and excitation mechanism. As a result, they can attract and retain talents. Meanwhile, they could encourage employees'motivation and maximize organizational benefits.Enterprise A is a private company and it has established 35 years ago. The main business is luxury products retailing, the products include watches, optical glasses, sunglasses and jewelry. Now the business has spread out 5 provinces in Northwest of China. Watch selling has covered large marketing share in those area. Optical glasses, sunglasses business has started 6 around years, and jewelry business just born. As the business of A corporation has been speedily development, the previously family type management could not adapt to company's developing, although this management type has been gradually replaced, lots of problems still need facing, for example human resource, high technology management needing, how to fully find and use staff's talent and so on. This article will focus on analyzing A enterprise by questionnaire and personnel interview, and find its problems of salary and excitation mechanism. Finally, the assignment will give reasonable and scientific recommendations in order to optimize the company's salary and excitation mechanism.
