The real drive for the new product development is market demand, market and customer are the only standard to verify whether new product development is successful. As a result of the increasing of living level, the demand of consumer is diversified and changed fast. However a certain of time is required to develop a new product and should be shorter than the time of demand change. Based on this, the company is able to get market share and obtain the profit. The company have to continually analyze and improve NPD process, to meet the increasing expectation and demand from the customer.The main problem for the existing procedure of new product development in Polartech Suzhou are as follows: The development procedure is too much complicated and the responsibility for related development team members is not well defined,and resulted in the period of new product development is too long. The article will be analyzing and improving the current procedure of new product development in order to shorten the development period and enhance the core competency of the company. Firstly describe the current procedure for new product development, secondly analyze the development procedure using the method of cause and effect chart, and then come up with the solution of improvement and design new modified procedure. Finally, compare the period of fore-and-aft development procedure. In new product development procedure, Polartech reduce non value-added activities aiming to short the development period.
