This paper is about job satisfaction of the employee who is working in the network operation and maintenance department of Jiangsu branch of China Unicom. It take 441 employee who came from Jiangsu branch,Nanjing branch,Suqian branch and Taizhou branch of China Unicom, include 295 males and 146 females. The article used the "Job Satisfaction Scale" (Vitell & Davis,1990)。By means of questionnaire, this article analyses the present situation of subject's job satisfaction and the relationship between job satisfaction and demography variables, and reach to draw conclusions by demonstration:(1) There are significant positive correlation between subject's "general job satisfaction" and the various dimensions of job satisfaction;(2)Subject's "general job satisfaction" and the various dimensions of job satisfaction are significant different in different branch;(3) Subject's "salary satisfaction,"colleague satisfaction" and "manager satisfaction" are significant different in education level;(4)Subject's "general job satisfaction","colleague satisfaction" and "manager satisfaction" are significant different in age and seniority;(5)Subject's "general job satisfaction","salary satisfaction" and "promotion satisfaction" are significant different in work experience;(6) Subject's "salary satisfaction","colleague satisfaction","manager satisfaction" and "work satisfactiom" are significant different in the employee's class;(7)Subject's "salary satisfaction" and "colleague satisfaction" are significant different in marital status;(8) Subject's "general job satisfaction" and the various dimensions of job satisfaction have no significant positive different in gender and job status.In order to improve employee satisfaction, managers should note the following points:(1)Increase wages and welfare benefits;(2) Reform promotion system, and guide the fair competition;(3) Create opportunities for exchange, and strengthen interpersonal communication;(4) Change the evaluation system,and improve staff motivation.
