| Traditional Chinese medicine industry also known as TCM is an economic activity set with the TCM theory as guide, which includes the production, management and research of basic medicine and health products. TCM industry has been incorporated in the plan for national economic development as the national strategic industry.it has been the mainstream and key for the TCM industry to support and develop traditional Chinese medicine and ethnic medicine. A document released by the state council in 2009 gave some suggestions about encouraging and boosting TCM industry, which is of great significance to the development of TCM industry. In the document, the government drew up important plans for the development of TCM industry and specific requirements were put forward as well.Bozhou, as one of the four cities famous for Chinese medicine and the important station to plant TCM in Anhui province, has the largest trading market of TCM in china and the fine foundation in TCM industry. Hence, it is significant for TCM industry in the world.Set in the development of TCM industry at home and abroad, this essay reviews the achievements Bozhou has gained in TCM industry, and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of development in TCM industry in Bozhou.
