With the continuous rise and down of the economic environment and the more fierce of the competition, more and more firms began to go to decline or even bankrupt. How to get sustainable development for firms has become an urgent problem to be solved by theory and business circles.Mostly of the current research studied how to realize sustainable of the firms from macro-level, this made the current research become fragmented and cannot be systematic, which can not guide the practice of firms' decision makers efficiently. Thus, we introduce a new perspective-prosocial behavior of organization members to study how to realize sustainable development of the firms from micro-level. In our opinion, the sustainable growth ability of the firms comes from dynamic ability, and this kind of ability demands firms to learn new knowledge and unlearn outdated knowledge. The prosocial behavior of organization members influences firms' development through the aforementioned process. From the micro-level of prosocial behavior can help us understand the micro factors that influence firms' development and explore good methods to realize the sustainable development of firms.First, we reviewed the current research and provide the theory support for this study. Second, we build a model to explore the relationship between the prosocial behavior of organization members and firms' sustainable development, and we also proposed our proposition, which are the internal prosocial behavior of organization members are bad for the sustainable development of firms and the external prosocial behavior of organization members are good for the sustainable development of firms. On this basis, we made an empirical study of the relationship between prosocial behavior of organization members and the sustainable development of firms, and we also introduce new mediating variable-organization inertia. The results show that the internal prosocial behavior of organization members will lead to organization inertia while the external prosocial behavior will help firms get rid of organization inertia. Organization inertia is bad for firms' sustainable development in changing environment. The internal prosocial behavior of organization members is bad for the sustainable development of firms.
