In recent years,the relationship between leadership and staff has been a hot topic in the field of organizational behavior,especially the research on the relationship between leadership and employee behavior is particularly prominent.On the one hand,because the leadership in the enterprise is assuming more and more roles,the theory of leadership research results emerge in an endless stream;On the other hand,because the staff is a direct impact on organizational performance,the research on the influencing factors of employee behavior is also in the ascendant.Correspondingly,the study of the mechanism between the two entered the boom.However,from the existing research results,most the theory of leadership and employee behavior are limited to the area single-layer model.With the continuous progress of mathematical statistics,especially the mature of multi-level linear model technology,the research about multi-level relationship and mechanism of leadership and employee behavior is ready to come out.Based on the above background,this paper chooses prosocially motivated leadership style and organizational citizenship behavior as key variables,and puts forward two main questions,namely,are there multi-level relationship of leader's prosocial motives and organizational citizenship behavior?If yes,then how does the cross-level mechanism work between them?This paper begins with the theory of pro-social motivation,the theory of social exchange and the theory of multi-level,expounds the logic of research hypothesis and model,then uses the questionnaire to select a total sample of twelve enterprises including 59 team leaders and 271 employees from Beijing,Jiangsu and Shandong etc.Finally,the multi-level regression analysis and hierarchical linear model are used to verify the proposed model.In theory,the paper deepens the understanding of the relationship between leadership and staff,and extends the research perspective of the relationship between the two.In practice,it provides relevant theoretical guidance for the handling of the relationship between leadership and staff in the enterprise.
