Research On The Construction And Development Of Xuzhou Logistics Park

With the rapid development of economic globalization and information technology, modern logistics as a new pillar industry has received extensive development, the degree of which has become an important symbol of the comprehensive economic competitiveness both nationally and regionally. Logistics Park, as a regional carrier in logistics system, is an important link for city distribution and economic development. And it plays an important role in fulfilling its overall advantages, improving the level of logistic technology and services, sharing the related facilities, reducing operating costs and increasing economy efficiently.In recent years, with the rapid development of modern logistics, the construction and development of logistics parks has received broad attention and thus became the main features and focus of modern logistics development, thereby it gives rise to a national wave of construction of logistics parks. Yet at the very same time, such shortcomings of Logistics Park as duplication and lack of development arise with its development. Then how to provide scientific guidance for the construction and development of logistics parks to fully play its positive role for a city is still the major problem that we are confronted with in the process of planning all over the country.This paper, on the basis of introduction of the research status quo of the international and domestic logistics park, takes Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province in China as the study background and tempts to summarize the concept, features and functions of Logistics Park and reviews related theory of logistics parks'development. Based on the field study of Xuzhou Logistics Park, the paper makes a comprehensive analysis of various factors that may concern in the process of the construction and development of Xuzhou logistics park through authentic data, and as a result puts forward countermeasures and suggestions, hoping to provide some reference for the healthy and sustainable development of logistics industry in the medium-sized cities like Xuzhou in China.
