Team is an very important form for organization to accomplish organization goals to meet with the standard of world trade and competition. Team performance always surpasses the sum of team members' performance, which leads a lot attention paid on team management nowadays. With many knowledge-based talents, technique-based talents entering our company, traditional performance management methods are out-of-date as products, sales, pre-sales, after-sales and customer demands are becoming more and more complicated.After a survey research on Jiangsu Unicom' 330 consultative sales teams enquiring about their judgment on team performance, we find that the overall judgment about team performance is beyond average rate (3.5) but below excellence. Superface-level diversity doesn't have obvious impact on team performance but deep-level performance does. Some suggestions are given after this survey considering the fact of Jiangsu Unicom. |
