Optimize Ordering Strategy And Materials Classification Based On AHP&ABC

On the behavior of economic globalization, market competition of bus industrybecomes more and more intension. And more and more enterprises are focusing onthe logistics, which being called "The third profit source".This paper intends to focus on the materials management of A bus manufactory.First of all, on the basis of research on the current materials classification of A busmanufactory, and the advantages and disadvantages of the conventional classificationways, at the same time, also on the analysis of materials' characteristic, I bringforward and carry out a reasonable materials method which is combining the methodof Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the ABC classification method, for A'smaterials to five classes. Secondly, we use the otherness stock management policy tomanage the purchase process of the each class materials, on the basis of analysis andresearch on the current using stock management policy, the classification results forthe materials of A company, and on the analysis of the materials' characteristic, suchas the management level of the related suppliers, the lead-time, essentiality of thematerials, and the current management level of A company. There are using JointManaged Inventory (JMI), to control the materials which are classified to A sort,called key parts, selecting Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) to manage the B sort,called important parts, adopting Just-In-Time (JIT) procurement policy to manage theC and D sorts, called normal parts and the out-association parts. And we introduce thecircle regular order procurement policy to manage the E sorts, called standard anduniversal parts, it is using the formula of model and based on the analysis on the cycleof stock taking, lead-time of materials, demand, etc, to set the target inventory levelsof each materials to control them. Finally, according to the each stock managementpolicy, we make the related operation process, and establish a project team in A company to carry out the materials classification method and the stock managementpolicies step by step according to the schedule, to reach the target for optimizing stockof materials, and improve the competition ability of supply chain of A company.
